Chris Stones – Bassist Big Country

“ Chris Stones is a Scottish bassist who has played professionally across a range of genres since the 90s. With influences as diverse as Steve Harris and Norman Watt-Roy, his style has been described as impactive and powerful with a flair for live performance. With a background in music media and management, he continues to mentor aspiring artists when not performing.

Chris is the bassist with Scottish legends Big Country and has performed globally with several tours under his belt. The band have recently recorded a new album but his first love is the stage and he can often be found shouting at venue staircases or questioning why he continues to wear tight jeans in his 50s.

A self-confessed gear-head, Chris is always hunting for the perfect tone to compliment the fresh approach to Big Country’s 80’s sound. That thirst led him to Flattley Guitar Pedals which he now proudly uses on stage and in the studio.”
