Description
Aditional Information
Bypass switch: the effect is on when the halo indicator is lit.
Volume: The volume control allows the user to determine the output volume of the effect only. It can be used to equalise the volume to the bypassed guitar signal or to dial in as much boost or cut as required. Note that at minimum there is no sound from the effect (always worth checking if the effect is not working). At maximum there is a fair amount of boost so use with caution.
Tone: Tone control fully anti-clockwise gives a fuzz that is creamy (the sound of the original Solaris), tone control fully clockwise gives more treble without losing all the bottom end. The effect is the same for both positions of the Boost switch.
Sustain: Controls the maximum amount of fuzz sustain.
Boost Switch: the halo indicator shows which boost circuit is engaged at all times. If the indicator is off the original diode clipping of the second distortion stage is engaged, this gives a mellower tone with more sustain. If the indicator is on this selects an alternative more aggressive tone by changing some of the feedback components in the second distortion stage, this gives a lift in volume with a harder edge with less sustain.
Note that if the effect is bypassed boost has no effect on the sound.
Hints and Tips: as well as being used as a full on fuzz monster there is another surprising low distortion use as follows. With boost on and sustain fully anti-clockwise the sound is relatively clean as the first distortion stage barely clips and the second distortion stage clipping level has been increased by having boost on.

The concept of fuzz pedals use to elude me. About two years ago, I went down the rabbit hole of what is “fuzz” pedals, and oh boy!, was I in for a treat. The Solaris Pro is, in my humble opinion, the best example of a none-germanium fuzz that I have tried. Germanium based fuzz are great, and clean up really well, however they are so noisy. Because of this, I prefer using silicon fuzz. The issue with these silicon variants is that they typically do not clean up very well.
The Solaris Pro is the first fuzz that I’ve tried that does this really well. My favorite feature of this pedal is the boost. Not only does it give ample volume boost but also changes the tone and gives the fuzz more mids, which helps cut through a mix. I actually play the Solaris Pro with the boost On all the time. The pedal also stacks incredibly well with other pedals. I have a Wampler Belle (based on a Nobles ODR-1), a Green Rhino (a TS808) and a WTB+ (treble booster) and it takes all of them extremely well.
Paul makes incredibly excellent pedals.

This pedal is amazing. Unreal tone. Perfect for lead and also solos with the boost being such a life saver when you need that extra power to cut through. As well as using it live, I recently used it in the studio and it really delivers. Couldn’t thank Paul enough, he really knows what he’s doing.
